Useful Resources

Resources, such as textbooks, are essential to academic excellence. Specific textbooks have been designed for the CXC Examinations but students can use other appropriate material to broaden their knowledgebase. Additionally, internal forms can be downloaded and filled for submission to the relevant entity.

Although OUP predominantly publishes books catered for European learners, they have produced over 25 books to help Caribbean students preparing to write the CSEC examinations.

The CXC has made all the structured-response papers (02 and 03) available for electronic download at the standard price of US $8.00 with the exception of the free CSEC® English A and Mathematics Past Papers 2002-2008 eBook.

Internal Forms


Students

CAPE Consent Form

In order to register for CAPE subjects, students must obtain the signatures of their respective subject teachers to approve them to write the subject. A candidate’s performance must have been outstanding or he/she may not be approved to register for that subject.

In order to register for CSEC subjects, students must obtain the signatures of their individual subject teachers to approve them to write the subject. A candidate’s performance must have been outstanding or he/she may not be approved to register for that subject.

Streaming Form

For Grade 9 students to enter Grade 10 (Fourth Form), they must complete this form to indicate the stream and subjects they are interested in. It is important to note that if the candidate’s performance is subpar, he/she may not be allowed to enter the stream of choice.
